Take a moment to put yourself in the place of a Student learning to read English at a secondary school or higher level. You probably studied English for many years and the experience is likely to have been mixed: some good times and some bad times.In the worst cases, the purpose for learning to read has not been for the best of reasons. Instead of enjoyment, reading in English is probably most closely identified with complicated tests that seem to have been engineered for the purpose of ´tricking´ you. Often the readings has not been interesting, especially in older books with topics twenty years out of date filled with vocabulary seldom used outside a classroom.
